Severe weather threat this weekend.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 9 pm this evening as scattered storms are popping up across the region. Some of these storms may be severe and this sets up for an interesting weekend as Spring seems to have finally sprung.

Chances for severe thunderstorms continue through Saturday but Sunday is the day things can really get interesting as a strong cold front will push through bringing with it a good chance for severe weather. With highs in the mid 80's Sunday we should have plenty of energy in the atmosphere.
