Good afternoon and thanks for stopping by! We had some powerful thunderstorms yesterday evening that brought with them lightening, heavy rains and high winds. A few reports of wind damage in the eastern portions of the state but the biggest story has to be the flash flooding. Several high water rescues were carried out into the evening. A look at the 24 hour total rainfall map shows us why-
That is rain we really don't need and there's still more to come as a cold front will push through the region Wednesday evening into Thursday. This is when the worst of the severe weather is expected.
Today we have a slight chance of thunderstorms. High in the upper 70's to low 80's. Storm chances will be on the increase in the overnight hours heading into Wednesday.
