Severe weather on the way?
A strong line of thunderstorms are in the western portions of the state reaching from Brandenburg in the north down into the south western most counties. This line is moving east and stand a good chance of intensifying with the heat of the day. Take a look at the radar...there are several mesocyclone cells involved in this line. Severe thunderstorm watches have been issued for much of the western portions of our state. You can see all the watches and warnings here. We could see some severe weather with this line including hail, torrential rainfall, and maybe some tornadic activity (especially with the mesocyclone cells). I will post as things change.
